About · San Francisco

Finding the night
shouldn't be the hard part.

LarGrr keeps San Francisco's big nights in one fresh place, sorted by how far out you're planning, and shot so the night looks like the people who are actually in it.

The problem

Six Instagrams and a group chat.

Right now finding the night is a scavenger hunt. A handful of venue Instagram accounts, a promoter post you half remember, a group chat that moved on hours ago. By the time you've pieced it together, you've stayed in.

LarGrr puts the city's big nights in one fresh place.

What LarGrr is

An events home for the big guys.

Bears, chubs, leather, and the wider queer scene that shows up with them. Three horizons, because you plan the week differently than you plan the year: Tonight, This Weekend, This Month, plus the year's big runs.

Listings come straight from the venues' own calendars, plus curators who actually go out. Freshness is the whole point.

The look of the night

Real photographs of real nights.

The pictures are by Felix Xie, a San Francisco photographer who has documented this scene for years. His work leads everywhere on LarGrr.

No stock imagery. The night here looks like the people who are actually there.

What we won't build.

Big is the point, not the punchline.

Where we are

Closed beta, San Francisco.

Venues can get their calendar included, and anyone can send us a night we're missing. The city keeps making the nights; we just keep the list true.

Built for San Francisco first. The model, a trusted local photographer and curator alongside the venues' own calendars, is meant to travel city by city.
